The Stepney is a retro classic. This model features art deco styled hands, an Arabic dial and mechanical Westminster chiming movement.

Hermle Stepney Mid-century design Tambour style mantel clock in a rich walnut finish made in Germany. The walnut case is "highlighted" from darker edges to a lighter stain toward the center. An inlaid solid brass rod runs from left to right below the dial found in other mid century modern selections.

This marked a new chapter of growth for the company as Hermle was able to utilize American and imported hardwoods to supply case goods for highly sought-after German quality mechanisms. The Amherst plant specializes in traditional hardwood floor, grandfather, wall, and mantel clock cases, with German movements and accessories. Some of the styles are based on early American tradition, and one is even a licensed Colonial Williamsburg reproduction.
