Jump for joy along with the children on Rhythm’s “Jumping Kids” Karakuri clock. Also known as “Children Of The World” in the States and “Small World Kids” in Japan, this hard-to-find piece brings a fun energy unlike no other musical clock. It has become highly coveted among collectors. Released in the mid-1990s, this cute clock features seven children dressed like different cultures and areas of the world. The child in the middle swings its head back and forth continuously, as the two on either side of it jump along to the music. It plays 6 children’s songs, including “It’s A Small World,” in Rhythm’s electrifying FM sound. These arrangements of these songs cannot be found on any other musical clock.
Notes: “Jumping Kids” is a very rare, collectible wall clock and can be difficult to obtain. That being said, this piece has definitely seen better days. The gold trim and the case have quite a few scratches and scuffs. I’ve done my best to photograph all of the damage, so please take a look at all of the photos. The children have been repaired by me and are moving as they should. The girl with the accordion sits slightly higher than the other children, but she still jumps normally. Despite the physical imperfections, the clock still works and sounds great. This would be an excellent addition to a clock collection; watch the video to see the kids come to life!
